Yup. I ordered more elysians
I figured my jackson gus g star needed a set of pickups since I'd grown tired of the stock ones, which weren't bad by any means, they just weren't what I wanted for this guitar. There were some communication issues about the bobbin colors (I wanted white and the first set ended up being black) and it took longer than normal to get these, but adam rectified all those problems by refunding me a chunk of what i paid/apologizing for the issues. These pickups have a metric ton of output, they are HOT. I have them backed off pretty far from the strings currently and they sound better to me.
If anyone cares about specs they're over 20k for both the bridge and neck DCR, both use alnico 5 mags, with hex bolts.

Damn those are some hot pickups. They look dead sexy in that guitar too. Love me some A5 pickups. They seems to have a nice treble presence without being too harsh.

They have tons of output, but they actually clean up pretty well just by rolling off the vol knob a bit. The white pickups just work perfectly in this guitar, I had to keep that aesthetic going. I was worried that they would be a bit obnoxious in this guitar since it only has a master vol knob, but they really warmed it up compared to the stock sound, which was a lot more old school voiced and brighter on the high end.

Is that recorded with the neck pickup? If not, that low end is absurd!

Comparing the DIs with my A8 Trident IIs (which are in a bright guitar, though) the difference is massive. If A5 sound like this I'm glad I didn't order the A2 Hellfires. Definetely not what I was looking for, but I can see the appeal :metal:

they really do have a big low end, but it's not a hard to control low end imo. there's some 7 string hellfire vids floating around on the extended range guitar nerds facebook group and they sound equally as massive.

I got A Set of 6 string hellfires, ceramic Magnet in the bridge pu though.
Even though it is really massive soundiing, it think the bass never gets out of control or overbearing. Just a really great pickup.
