It's funny, every time I saw that eight, I thought it looked like it was made with that pressure treated wood. The kind where it get's a slight tint.

But man, after the clearcoat it looks killer. The purpleheart make for an amazing contrast in appearance. The color itself is just amazing.

It's only oil over a light tinting! I've been experimenting with water based stains with oil finishes recently. So far the results have been really nice.

This thing plays so naturally...and i totally suck at guitar so it was kinda surprising!

Eventually I'll be doing Floyds. Probaby VERY late this year (November/December).

I've got 7 and 8 string fanned frets, 4 and 5 string fanned fret basses and headless 6 and 7 strings to be doing first.

And Temjin's 24.75 inch scale sustainer equipped, hipshot tremmed 6 string. After about 3 years of talk, it's finally going get done.
