It's funny, every time I saw that eight, I thought it looked like it was made with that pressure treated wood. The kind where it get's a slight tint.

But man, after the clearcoat it looks killer. The purpleheart make for an amazing contrast in appearance. The color itself is just amazing.

It's only oil over a light tinting! :) I've been experimenting with water based stains with oil finishes recently. So far the results have been really nice.

This thing plays so naturally...and i totally suck at guitar so it was kinda surprising!

I get a boner every time I see a guitar you post! I know you are busy as hell but do you have any plans in the future for doing a seven string with a floyd?

Eventually I'll be doing Floyds. Probaby VERY late this year (November/December).

I've got 7 and 8 string fanned frets, 4 and 5 string fanned fret basses and headless 6 and 7 strings to be doing first.

And Temjin's 24.75 inch scale sustainer equipped, hipshot tremmed 6 string. After about 3 years of talk, it's finally going get done. :hbang::hbang:

I still need to plan a jaunt back up to TO sometime. I actually have a credit towards a plane ticket there, as I had to miss my friend's wedding up there due to bronchitis.

Won't happen till at least August, though. Fuckin' bar exam.

Wow, how have I managed not to stumble onto this thread in my time here! Really top notch work, man. Very impressive!

If you have an extra build lying around I'd be happy to take it off your hands
