Does anyone yet own a Daemoness with the Shredator profile
or has anyone tried it out??

I'm thinking (hoping) it may be like the original Ibanez Wizard
neck which will be perfect for me.

I may be in the next batch and will probably go for the Shredator.

Nope, and that neck blank one I forgot about too! I haven't seen the neck, so it'll be a surprise to see the neck and back revealed when Dylan gets some pictures up. I just hope the pickups arrive sooner than later so we don't go with a temporary substitute (not that that would be bad, being BKPs). Get your paws on the neck regardless!

I'm really stoked to hear what The One sounds like in your FFVII. Those have really peaked my interest.

What a great batch of guitars; two firsts (Valkenbyrd VII & FFVII Cimmerian), plus a load of intensly wicked artwork.

Pickups are a quick fix but it would be awesome to see the SDs with the covers in the finished guitar first. The Ones in my Schecter are really growing on me. They are very tight and have a really thick defined low B. Notes really pop out when you dig in. I can't wait to hear them in my Daemoness and how they sound with a low A/G. They were very expensive but I'm confident they will be worth it. I've been so busy with work this summer I haven't got much recording done so no clips yet.

It must be very rewarding but sad to see all those guitars leave the workshop. Dylan really wasn't exaggerating when he said these would be his best and most challenging guitars to date. i can't even imagine what crazy concepts are in the next few batches. Hopefully a few fanned 8s and some more non cimmerian body shapes.

New pics of the Double V:

Pretty much what I'm hoping as well. Got it all spec'd out and told Dylan I was a huge fan of Ibanez necks. :hbang:

I am imminently wanting to know what you're having built (i.e. inlays and paintjob). You at liberty to divulge? If you want it to be a surprise, no worries. I'm getting old, and I probably won't remember anyway. Or at least that's what I'm going to say here.

Color like

And I gave Dylan two general ideas for inlay and perhaps a painting on the back of the guitar. I'll let Dylan have as much autonomy as he likes for the inlay and theme. So in some ways I expect it to be a bit of a surprise for me too

I'll let you know. Dylan said it's freaking fast, and actually the first thing that comes to mind regarding my build. I'm expecting it to land somewhere between Wizard and KxK profile, which will be perfect. His standard Flatbacker is fast, with steep shoulders that is very comfortable. With a totally flat radius or compound fretboard it works well.

Good man. Looking forward to hearing your opinion on it.

Well, if SD could get those pickups done any quicker I'd probably have this beast in a week or two. It's literally sitting there waiting... Plus, they have to mail the things to me and I have to send them to Dylan. I'll eat the rushed shipping to get them there ASAP, but shit SD is slow right now. Must be high volume order time. Last Friday, they were supposed to be mounted in the covers and done, or at least by this week. I really don't want to sub with BKPs before the SD's, unless somehow they end up horrible, which just means I'll send the AV BW 7 I have to get a custom cover added. THAT pickup f*cking rules.

The Zombie Brain Theory Cimmerian was last to get lacquered, so i should be done or close, and I'll bet everyone else has theirs coming soon! Undoubtedly there will be porn on the Daemoness page and site before shipping. Any word guys?

Zombie brain theory wont be done lacquering for at least another month, just just how it works. I'm estimating it to be done in December. Here's to hoping for the best xmas ever! :)

Any ideas how long the waiting list is for one of his guitars? And an estimate of a base rate for a 6 string 28inch baritone Cimmerian?

I would put a quote in but I don't want to waste his time specially I'll have a lot of saving up to do. Based in the UK too.

About 2 years til your build starts, I put a deposit down in sept 2012 and I'm currently discussing specs. Not sure how long it takes to actually get built...

I placed deposit nearly 24 months ago and Im not in the next batch. Im pretty sure it takes 4-6 months to be made so Id say somewhere in the range of 3-4 years from the time the deposit is placed is a safe estimate, especially if you were to get on the list now since its larger today then it was 2 years ago, and Id say average prices today go from around $3600-5200

Dylan has increased output a lot this year so its hard to know how long the waiting list is. It could be 24-30+ months with the amount of people that have signed up recently.

Build time looks to be about 6 months start to finish but that would vary depending on how complicated the builds are. Some guitars in this batch were ready for lacquering quite early since they were basic builds but Joe's Valkenbyrd and the Zombie Brain Cimmerian needed a lot of time.

The guitars should be back from Spectrum Finishes soon. I check the Daemoness page soon as I wake up hoping for some update pics.

The assuring thing is that Daemoness doesnt play games with the wait list, they produce guitars as the orders were placed. Because of this Im cool with waiting as long as need be for my build to come up. In no way would I want quality to suffer in exchange for getting my guitar 6-12 months sooner.

Update: Finally, finally!!!! SD emailed me that the pickups are mailed. I'll have to turn them around quickly and mail them to Dylan. Of course, I'll take a peak so we all can check out how they look.

It took them a month before I got a response to place the order, but since them the communication has been solid. They also promised to rush them, and well six weeks later... average custom shop times are 4-6 weeks. So, to make up for it, without prompting (I've hounded them about it but mostly just to say Dylan needs them ASAP and has other guitars to work on), they gave me a discount and free expedited shipping. Solid freaking customer service. Hopefully they slay souls as intended too, even though it's a shot-in-the-dark custom.

Awesome!!! Its your choice but I think you should wait until they are in the Valkenbyrd before we get a glimpse here. I've heard great things about the SD custom shop so I'm sure they will rock.
