What are you guys' opinions on similar builds? Would you think it was cool if someone else's build was similar to yours? Does anyone happen to know how Dylan feels about these things? Just something I've always wondered about

I think Dylan said he could do a variation but he urges customers to come up with their own inlays/concept ideas so the guitar is more unique and personal to them.

Hipsters beware...

Those actually are pretty nice looking NVGs, from the optic view. For all the gear whore things I own I don't have a sweet ass set of NVGs. And it's not necessarily for the sake of war fighting. They are loads of fun and pretty damn useful. Especially for hunting. Anything.

Did any of you guys ever have trouble actually making up your mind about your builds? So many concepts, ideas, hardware, and colors!

You'll have time to change a bit if desired. I went from a a Cimmerian VII to a Valkenbyrd VII, along with other monumental changes. And it has turned out better than anything imaginable.

Is that image silkscreened onto the guitar? I thought I had seen an in-progress of him painting it, but it does seem to have that silkscreened texture. Would open up a lot of possibilities to have crazy custom artwork as a relatively low-cost option.

i do believe it is a print. you can see how it's a bit pixelated, besides, i'm also positive it's taken from a screenshot from the movie. doesn't make it any less awesome though, as long as it's nice who cares the technique!

That is nice!!!!!!!! The waves in the maple top really add to it.

Here is an early pic.

Well I think you missed my point. Dylan's posted plenty of his paintings - I'm sure he could sit down and paint it and I'd not be the wiser, but if you want a guitar with a particular image on the body of the guitar I imagine it could really inflate the price of things. Silkscreening is probably a good compromise to keeping the cost down.
