One cool little detail that no one has mentioned is that the prow of the boat on each guitar is doubling as the 12th fret marker. Them little touches.

The fact alone that the art inlays on the Vahalla's are actually wood and not just drawn or painted on top of the fingerboard just blows the mind further.
There's a few little minute details that it'll take constant staring at to realize but when you do that little light bulb in your head will be like ohhhhhhhh daannnng

The black parts of the inlays are painted on, you can kind of see the wood grain following through it. Not to take away from how damn beautiful they are, though.

Wood, inlaid into wood. :agreed:

Very clever and I think it's very easy to assume that it was
painted as well. I don't think there's another builder on the
planet that puts so much into his craft as Dylan....he keeps
raising the bar.....each batch of guitars are like WTF!! Dunno
how he does it......but he does!

Well. F*ck me then. Just when I thought it couldn't get better.

Pretty much. I don't think anyone would have held Dylan in less regard if it wasn't all inlay, but knowing it is... It's ridiculously amazing.

It looked pretty bland from far away, I was kind of thinking it was the runt of the litter. But up close this is so evil looking -- yours?
