I have Assuck's _Misery Index_ LP (45 rpm), and when I first got it I played it at 33 and I was like, "this is some sick sludge!!" (They're acually grindcore, which is why this is funny...)

Hi guys,
How do you select an amplifier based on your speakers ?

My 35 yo amp I boring me with RCA connector that need to get replugged every two days to avoid missing the left side.

Can’t stand with that. I deceived to improve my set up.

How to choose amp and speakers association?

I have Klipsch RF52. Some sellers advice me to take a look at a 1k or more Cambridge amp because it’s smooth and would awake the Klipschs.

Any comment advice on your experience ?

The installation has suddenly changed in a blink of an eye.
Acoustic Energy AE120 mk II came here and I am discovering my records.

Smooth and wide opened compared to the Klipsch. A lot of details in the instruments. Now I really have to upgrade my amp.

Music Hall 2.2 turntable
Yamaha A-S301 integrated
PSB X2T speakers
Sony SACS9 subwoofer
Panasonic dvd player for the rare cd play and even rarer dvd audio play. I bought this way back specifically to play the Black Album dvd audio disc which is still the only dvd audio I have. Awesome version of the album.

Play black and death metal vinyl most of the time but I have a pretty good variety as well. Took a long time to decide on the speakers but I'm very happy with them. Definitely the best part of my system. I have the sub turned down low and the crossover also set way down so it just punches things up a little bit. I actually don't like loud music so I just want that little extra at lower volumes. I'll upgrade the cartridge on my turntable (thinking Audio Technica VM540) when it's time. After that I don't really see any big changes happening because everything else I'd want is way more money that I will just use on guitars.
