"Hardest chord in the world" Who can do this/ how are you doing it? I can almost do it but it sounds like ass vs pure awesomeness like my man Mr. Lane here...

I don't think I could use this at the moment in any sort of musical context, but if I really stretch I can get all the notes out... it just takes time to setup lol. Barring the 5 and 6 at an angle is pretty weird... never thought about doing that before.

EDIT: Just realized there's an open on the first string... wtf.

my guitarist probaby could. He's a gangly motherfucker, like 6'7 and an eight string looks like a strat in his horrifically large hands.

I figured this would either be Mr Lane or Mr Holdsworth. Totally bonkers chords.

I just tried that - at first I read it upside down...

26.2" scale, can *JUST* reach it. freaking hurts though.

completely not playable in a song, took me several seconds to set it up, and then three attempts to get it clean.

how did you manage to not mute the open string? Can you post a pic? I know its silly but id like to see how you went about it.

I can do it at 26.5" by cheating and playing the A open then hammering to 8 to compensate for the bottom two strings.
I mean it's not the same, but you can barely tell

I can do it..... tapped

There are much easier ways to play Fmaj9/A (that is how I choose to label it anyway)

This is the best I can do one handed with a camera :)

It isn't pretty to look at, but it sounds ok....but it doesn't sound good enough to want to try it again any time soon. It also hurts like hell.

I don't have a video camera handy, so I can't do a clip, but I can get the high e to ring if I set it up well enough. It takes a fair angle of the wrist and my index finger bends backwards at the second joint - that creates the space for the e string. Not much space, but enough.
