I think a fretless multi-scale would be easier to play than a straight fretless. Certainly more ergonomic.

Where do I begin? I need one!!! You do truly beautiful work. I'll send you my specs and see what you come up with. Oh yeah, do you do scalloped fretboards?

Sorry I'm a n00b when it comes to sevenstring.org but how do I go about contacting ONI guitars about my specifications for a price estimate?

A multiscale fretless would be very hard to transition too. Even if you were used to multi scale instruments that would still be a pretty tough thing to do.

You could always inlay the frets I suppose. If you wanted one and didn't feel like having to slide into the right notes all the time.

If you mean a scalloped fanned fret that would be intresting but absolute pain to do.

My next guitar will be a multiscale fretless ,ad I have the right solution for the problem.I will put epoxy filled fretwire holes in the fretboatd which are lit by a LED. I still search for the right material for the board.

Of all the luthiers I admire, you work is the best I think. Absolutely visionary design. I see the compact body Ziricote 8 is on the website. I really liked that guitar, I don't know whyy the guy who bought it sold it on so fast. Maybe what he thought was a great idea was not what he actually wanted once he played it.

I love the body design you eventually went with, its so modern and quirky, without being in-your-face.

I went ahead and started my own business :shred:
It's called Oni Guitars, there are 3 instruments confirmed including my 8 and Gojira's V.
Thanks to Gojira for the name and the massive amount of assistance.
Expect a website very soon. The focus of Oni is extended range guitars, so 7 or more strings, fretless, that kind of thing.
We'll see how things go, I suppose

You Sir, are an artist.

Thanks man! It went live a day or two ago, I hadn't got around to posting yet :D

No problem, I like the site a lot. I always love looking at Oni guitar porn and a random google search surprised me today with a finished website, haha.

I seriously think you have some of the best guitar designs on the planet. It has been a little lonely on the board lately when it comes to oni guitars though....anything new and crazy in the works?
