I have a Schecter Loomis 7 string (vampire satin red) with a Floyd Rose.
It has the standard EMG 707 pickup combo.

I would just like to know the best range of height for these pickups.
Or at least if anyone knows what Schecter/EMG has to say on the deal. I did a quick search but didn't find anything.

Thanks in advance.

EMG's have a fairly small range that the magnets can handle, so in general they need to be closer to the strings.

Honestly, the only accurate way to find your optimal height is to adjust your pickups and decide for yourself where you like them

To add to the above: pickup height is personal, like string height. Be mindful, however, of getting the pickup too close to the strings. The increased magnetic pull on he strings could cause tuning problems and reduce sustain by overly interfering with the strings natural oscillations. Too far away and it'll sound thin and weak.
