List of seven strings at Ikebe:
ŒŸõŒ‹‰Ê

When looking at the listings, your price would be the lowest price listed. Shipping is typically in the ballpark of $150 to the US. Import duty to the US is ~8% of purchase price before shipping, though I've been told you don't get nailed for import duties from Ikebe for some reason.

Thanks people. I contacted him and he said they only accpet wire transfer. Anyone ever done this before?

It shouldn't really be a big deal... I've never done it with Ikebe but I have done wire transfers. Basically they'll give you an account number. You then call your bank and tell them you want to do a wire transfer, give them the info, and that's it.

For Ikebe ship times and stuff like that you'll have to ask someone else ;)

If you do this also keep in mind (assuming you're in the US) that you'll have a customs fee that you'll have to pay when the guitar is delivered. I believe it was 8% but don't remember for sure.

Just a side note, if you have questions about it talk to Mark 7, he has bought a few 7's from them and will give you plenty of info about his experience.

I bought my 7-string from Ikebe Gakki and it was quick and easy. It took a week from my transfering the money to actually receiving the guitar - that's very quick, considering the time difference, shipping from Japan, customs clearing etc..

Great service and great correspondance with Riyo - Ikebe Gakki comes highly recommended!

Cheers

Awesome, Eske. That's very fast shipping, I was expecting it would take a little longer than that. Cool. :yesway:

I miss Japan and I want to go back there, they have some very nice guitars over there and Ikebe Gakki has all the top of the line Ibanez models. :agreed:

Do they speak good English?

They have some great stuff, but Id hate a communication error to mess things up, my guitar never getting to me or something.

The site is really hard to navigate, I cant find the 7s :(

Ok, easy steps:

1) go the http://www.ikebe-gakki.com
2) click the big fucking hourglass graphic to search
3) click on Guitars... this will load a search form
4) click the first checkbox on the page so it is checked
5) select a brand from the second dropdown on the page
6) click the button at the bottom on the left to submit the form
7) you will now be at a listing of all the guitars Ikebe has for that brand
8) scroll through the pages of guitars until you find the guitar you want
9) click on the photo of the guitar you want, this will open a new window with info for that guitar
10) email previously given email address with the model and the 2 sets of numbers for that listing from upper section of the window that opens up with pics etc of that guitar

hmm... it's hard to tell from the pic, but i can't help but notice that darker strip of wood on the back of the headstock. is ibanez just cutting corners using scrap pieces of maple to complete that headstock, or is that their idea of a two-piece neck  .
