It does shift right.
Now stop being pedantic :fawk:

I love how ibanez's neckthrough finishes fade away into the neck from the paint... evn though these necks are clearcoated, i'd definately sand the main part of it.. as a matter of fact, i was on my way out later today to go get some sandpaper for the back of the conklin's neck :D

The neck on the Conklin is painted? I thought it was a bolt-on. Not too many bolt-ons with painted necks.

I love the feel of a painted neck when it's clean & polished, but that's the only time I like it better than oil finish.

I love the way bare wood feels.

I can't stand painted necks.

I like unfinished necks and necks that have that clear coat where you can still see the natural grain.

The painted neck guitars that I have tried feel sticky to me.

Hey,
Personally I like the way painted necks feel. I read in an interview with Dino, the old guitar player from Fear Factory, that he had all the necks on his 7s painted and it made them sound tighter and had more mid range. I really don't know how true it is or not, and I really didn't notice a difference in mine except it had the typical painted neck feel ( which I like ) and look pretty badass. Its all personal preferance I guess, I've never had the sticky neck problem either. Anyways heres the back of my RG7621 with the painted neck.

Na, I had Ron Pace ( this guy here in Houston ) do it. He does awesome work. This RG7620 with a pickguard that I have, I'm going to have him paint the whole thing red ( including the neck ) as soon as I get the $$$ together. Its going to be awesome.
