I'm not sure on the dates, but I believe it was a bit before GOOMY came out, possibly 05?
Yeah, it looks like an early idea that eventually became GOOMY, it's pure awesomeness!

Any one ever try that tuning? Was it D/D/D/D/G/b/e? with the lowest D as a drop-D D, just below standard low E.

only 3 Ds.
I tried it, the song is wicket fun to play, you could tap the GOOMY intro all by yourself, no human capo needed!
But I only have 1 guitar and it renders it useless for all but 3 songs (From PG) so I changed back after the "honeymoon period" was over.

When I get a second axe I'd probably keep 1 in that tuning.

With Racer X:

"Street Lethal" for the early years
"Technical Difficulties" for the more recent stuff

Solo with vocals:
"Space Ship One"
"Burning Organ"

Solo instrumental:
"Get Out Of My Yard"

Sorry, never listened to Mr Big, so i can't recommend anything

Can't go wrong with Mr.Big stuff, solid writing, solid singer, rock solid playing from both Paul and Billy, must see electric drill solo!!!
