I just got this guitar and the one thing that annoyed me the most was the lack of videos and pictures of the existing ones. It seems that even the videos of the r36's that I could find didn't accurately show the upper frets and the lower string. There was only one video that I found where the guy noodled up in the 27 or 28th fret for half a sec.:wallbash: So without further ado here is a crappy video of me noodling with the r729 and a starter package bass amp haha :noplease:. It's not the best I could do because this is my first 7 and I got caught off guard in the middle of a break from the sweltering heat outside lol. It gets alright at around 1:40 and I tried to use the upper frets a bit. I'll post many more videos and some pics in the next couple days. Enjoy.

It feels great seated. The leg rest is perfect and it doesn't take away from the looks at all. The leg rest pivots a bit so when you move or rock while playing (if your getting into it:shred:) it doesn't feel awkward...it's got give lets say. The pics and some better videos will be coming soon I promise haha. I've been very busy and haven't had much time to do these sort of things.

The pickups are crazy haha. Idk they are stock pickups for sure and I'll eventually get around to replacing them but they are hot. The only problem so far with this guitar is that it buzzes...and not just in coil split mode. Apparently this is not a problem that Leo has on his version of this guitar and it will probably not appear in the production models. This is a prototype. I have been emailing Leo (he makes these bad boys) for a while and my birthday is coming up and we made a deal that for my bday he would sell me this fine instrument and since i had the money right then, it was a done deal. I'm sure the purple one will be sweet though. I highly recommend this guitar.

I have another video and it's better this time. I used my main amp and some distortion and pictures will be on the way tomorrow. Enjoy :metal:

I love that thing. Yours (and Fred's) are actually a little different than the final versions in that the production models will have the white-black-white binding and an unpainted neck. Although all things being equal I'd likely prefer the neck you've got!

Yeah I can't wait to get some pictures up here. The thing is stunningly beautiful. I know there are pics of the green color but it's really striking in person. Thanks everyone for the nice words

I think they will be sold for $1099 and will be going on the market fairly soon. The available colors will be yellow or purple I believe. You really should get one :)

And get 'em while the getting is good, because Leo said they'll be coming in in very limited supply. You can put 50% down to reserve a space. The production models will
Also differ in that they'll have a white-black-white binding and an unpainted maple -wenge 5 pc neck instead of what you see on the protos.

I like to think of it as a red and black neck and a green body. I don't think I would like the red on the body but I know what you mean :). I can't stress enough how stunning the finish is in person:bowdown:

WANT.

I probably was within the "for-half-a-second" category on my 36.

And I'm very excited that the production models will have an unpainted neck. That was about the only thing that made me nervous about the R729 (That and the set neck.) I was hoping for green to be production, though...not too psyched about yellow, purple, and orange being the choices (Although honestly I WOULD like a yellow or purple guitar...not sure how my bandmates would feel about it though.)
