Here's a pic of my two Carvin 727. The black one I ordered through Carvin about a month ago and picked up the white one from jim777 a couple weeks back. Both are tung oiled and play and sound very good. When work slows down, I'll sumit a song or two.

Sweeeeet guitars!

How do they play/sound?

I was going to order a DC727 too but I ended up ordering an Ibanez RG1527.

But those still rock :)

Nice guitars. Carvin can sure make some great guitars. They aren't for everybody but they can rock!

Thanks everyone.
Shaman, I have never played an Ibanez 7 but I love the feel and sound of the 727's remind me of my San Dimas Jackson I dumped to buy my first Carvin 7 string. A month later sold my Les Paul to buy my second. I guess you could say I'm really stoked by 'em.

It is a shame that Carvins are a bit trickier to get here in my homeland, Finland.

I asked the official Carvin salesman about the DC727, and he said that the delivery would take 4 months!

I would love to have one of those old San Dimas Jacksons, luckily there are a lot of them around. ( even here in Finland )

But yeah, very sweet guitars indeed. Take good care of them!

I got mine in about 2 months, but I did special order it though.

HB, have you ever heard of Empire Guitars out of California? I was thinking of having Lee build me a 7 but the Carvin was going to be cheaper.

I did mine on special order too.. But i would imagine it'd take less for their 6 stringers to come in, since there are more of them...
As far as empire...

I first came across them when I was playing Charvels and Jacksons since they do alot of work on those guitars and usually carry parts for those guitars. Their custom orders don't look to bad. I hear their turn around is really good, but have never played one.
