Working on two things here. First, an attempt to thicken the guitar tone.

Second thing is applying the pink guide to my mix via a matching EQ.

I think it probably turned out to be just more epic failure....tell me what you think?

A generally pleasing tonal balance is a high frequency spectrum that rolls off gradually.

Here is an example of it in Ozone's Spectrum analyzer

It's that pink line...hence the name pink guide. The Grey line is the 6db guide...the pink is 3db. Newer/Modern recordings tend to follow the pink guide more closely.
