I would really appreciate if you guys would comment on them.

Here are the presets...

Fireball w/stock cab
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51105490/Fireball Rhythm.h5e

Fireball no cab for use with guitarhacks "sneap" impulse.

Rectifier w/stock cab
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51105490/Recto Rhythm 57onAxis.h5e

Rectifier no cab for use with guitarhacks "sneap" impulse
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51105490/Recto Rhy No Cab.h5e

Guitarhacks impulse file (I use lecab2 for the IR loader. It's free)

I use the dual signal in the pod so the left side is the processed side and the right side I leave nothing processed so it acts as a DI output .

Both sound excellent!

I like the stock cabs better, seems to be more clarity and response on the palm mutes.

Overall, IMO, the Fireball with stock cabs is the winner.

Well done.

thanks man. Nice to hear someone else likes them. I've spent almost a month straight trying to get a good tone out of the pod HD500

thanks. I just listened to them for the first time through headphones and don't like them as much through them. I think I need to make some changes so it sounds good with both. I need to a/b more with headphones.

yeah when it comes to finding a recorded tone and just when mastering songs too you HAVE to test in several ways to make sure it is balanced. Testing through car speakers is a good indicator of quality.

You will be sharing this right?

hahaha nah, it would be awesome if you could upload the preset, but if not I understand, I am having a time getting a good tone in the mix also.

Sounds freakin' killer! Have you tried them blended together?

wow thanks guys. Makes me feel really good that other people like my tones. I've been waiting forever to finally get positive feedback. And yes, of course I'll share the presets.

I have posted all the presets now. My signal chain was

schecter scorpion elite baritone with a dimarzio X2N bridge pickup tuned to drop Bb>>Pod HD500>>Firepod>>Cubase SX3

I double tracked the guitars and sent them to a group in which I added a hp/lp filter, cut some lows and low mids, and added a waves c4 compressor to tame the low mids when I palm mute. I also have a bass guitar in there as well(schecter stiletto elite 5 string) that I processed with software amp sims.
