I'm looking to get a new amp after Christmas.
These are the two amps I was looking at.

What I'm wanting in an amp is:
BTBAM like tones, occasional djent, good cleans.
Capabilities of running acoustic.
I want something good for recording.
The less money spent is better.
That's why I'm leaning towards the 1101,
but the X3 PRO has mic inputs, which is a selling point right now.

Any advice helps.

Thanks.

It's subjective, I'm still unsold on the new HDs, you could get a POD X3 bean for half the price of the PRO, and it's smaller, and does the same sound, and IMO I haven't heard any particularly good recording examples of the GSP, when there's plenty about for PODs.

You can get great tones with any of them, but the X3 Pro is by far the most versatile. I'm very tempted to pick one up myself just because of the bass and vocal capabilities.

With the pods yes I have tweaked the living hell out of them ... the gsp my buddy owns, and I have NEVER been able to get a tone as good as my HD

not saying the GSP isn't a good unit.. just saying pod HD is fucking awesome
