Wait, Septor Pro? You mean Interceptor pro? There's no Septor pro. I would definitely go with the Septor though; although it doesn't have a trem, the Interceptor has an LFR which sucks.

actually there are septor pros, LOOK HERE

also i do not like tremolos

so you like the way if feels better than the schecter. how does it compare as far as like the build quality, does the agile seem like its more well built?

I'd say they're pretty damn equal in terms of build quality, though my ebony fretboard is much nicer than his rosewood. :fawk: Although I know most people don't like heavy guitars, the heft of my guitar compared to his does make it feel a bit more solid to me.

edit: Also, I have to say that his guitar didn't particularly feel like it's more expensive than mine, even though there's still about a $300 difference between the two.

I had a schecter black jack ATX (bought it brand new) and sold it a month later; it sounded dull to me, and the neck was unbearably big (not so bad when playing for a few minutes, but after 2 or 3 hours it was uncomfortable)

im going to have to disagree with you, i have no problem with schecter necks, and i have small hands, also i dont know you you thought it sounded dull, blackouts are some of the meanest pickups out there

 I thought Pro meant EMGs and other things. If you're actually right, good to know.

as far as i know, pro means neck thru, i thought all the pro models came with active pickups but i guess not, also they have some 8 string pro models with passives. everything thats pro has been neck thru, so i guess thats all it is.

Schecters necks are fine and they're not even that big

I've went from an Ibanez 1527 to a Blackjack ATX 7 and there was no problems after a few minutes of diving in.

Plus the ATX is definitly a heavy guitar.

I had a Hellraiser 7 and a Agile 8 string, and I would go for the Agile anyday over the Schecter.

I have the ATX c7. It is amazing. It is my favorite guitar. And as for the neck. People seem to be delusional about how thick it is. For me, it is perfect.

I have never had a guitar sound better or sit better in my arms. I am still blown away!

After the mods I have done (and am still doing) I feel like I won't sell this guitar. For the first time after 14 years of playing I found a guitar that feels and sounds right.

By the end of this year I should have my custom guitar built, and I told the luthier I want the same neck specifications for it. And same pickups, too.

Can't tell you anything about the Agile cause I've never seen nor played one here in Brazil.

Next time, phrase your thread the way you mean it: "I want to get a Schecter and I'm looking for any input whatsoever to convince me that I should get one instead of an Agile in the face of any evidence to the contrary" :fawk:

not sure that is fair to say. He is learning from the poll he posted. He is reaching out, which is encouraged. The evidence went both ways. Schecter is also in the lead.

The worst thing about this decision is the fact that you can't ever find an agile in a store to try before buying.

I'd say Schecter; AFAIK the price difference is not huge, you can actually try out the guitars, and they're just generally awesome.

that is a main reason why I own the ATX c7. I went to namm10 and played their c7,c8's. I was blown away.

But considering the great feedback from Agile on here I will be getting an 8 string (my first) to see if 8's are for me.

The Loomis neck is slightly smaller than the other Schecter 7-string necks, you should know that.
Agile necks are thinner and more flat than Schecter, which is known to have the most chunky 7-string necks in the world of 7-string guitars. I myself love Carvin and Mayones 7-string guitars, which got perfect necks in my opinion.

i have short fingers and the schecter necks dont bother me one bit, i think i actually prefer them to be a little beefy.
