Even on fastest setting (shortest time between repeats) its still quite slow. Is this something that can be modded to re-adjust that control?
I dont mind giving up some of its slowest repeats in order to gain some faster repeats. Re-adjust the balance so to speak.

Yes kinda...

Depends on the type of pedal

Analog - Upper limit is going to be determined by the bbd chip. The builder probably either copied the specs or tried to tweak the range to where it sounds good. There's a chance it oscilattes or sounds bad at faster rates

Digital - chip based - easier to do since the repeats are parameter controlled just mod that one pot

Digital - software based - harder since the algorithim is software based. Changing the pot probably will do nothing. But you can edit whatever parameter you want in the software if you have access to it.
