I've talked to this fella who wants to sell his UV, and I offered him my JEM555 in a trade which he is concidering at the moment.

What are your opinions on this subject? is the UV...what to say...good? I know its all up to each individual, but I feel like I gotta throw some questions out there.
I know about the difference in pricing, so it makes sense that it's worth it...

I'll just ask like this; What's the pro's and con's for me if I do this trade?

Also there's a pretty noticeable dent in it. Is this just the clearcoat, and if not, is it a decent way for me to fix this?

LOLOLOLOL Jem555 for a Uni?!? There are no cons. Do this trade, even if he asks for cash on your end. Even if he asks for a BJ...

Well.. If he decides to trade, do it, and never look back... I regret I didn't pull the trigger on the exact same model.... It was cheaper than a new rg1527(which I bought instead)... While my current 7string is great, I wish I bought the UV instead..

I regret selling mine. It was about 11 years ago. Lost a couple hundred on it. That was also when you could commonly find used RG7621's for $300. I also regret not buying a couple of those. Do the deal.

Update;

Recieved a mail from him today, and he seems to be happy with it.

Anyone got knowledge on shipping to eachother? Or is it completely based on trust?

I'll add, the UV's are broadly regarded as some of the best playing 7's ever on the market. Granted the older ones more so, but the 777 is still a great feeling instrument.

That's also a Lo-Pro Edge 7 bridge, as opposed to the later Edge Pro 7. The Lo-Pro Edge 7 is by far my favourite 7 string trem in existence.

As for the dent, the body is basswood which dents very easily indeed. I wouldn't bother trying to hide it personally.

The pickups are DiMarzio Blaze pickups, which are pretty love/hate. They're slightly scooped which makes them very clear for chords and they sing for lead playing, but they lack punch and focus for try direct modern rhythm sounds IMO.

If custom guitars didn't exist, I'd use a UV exclusively. Fact.

And as if that's not enough, I ordered a Loomis FR(out of stock in norway atm) some weeks ago before I came across this guy. :lol:

Arrived today, better pics incoming.
As for the dent, it's only the coating that got a hard meeting with something, hilariously minor defect imo :)
