The 550 is cooler, but I could never do a locking trem, so I'd buy the Charvel (the charvel is neat too tho)

550. I love those maple necked 550s and I never got the hype behind the Sean Long sig. It's a Jim Root strat with a fucked up color layout

I'm on sort of a boutique LP-inspired kick right now. Of course it's the most crowded market besides the Strat/Tele one so I'm trying to figure out who makes the good stuff for not bank-breaking money (that Collings is right at $4k, surprisingly)
So doing a tribute build... the question is since I am ordering a floyd pickguard anyways do I go for one with the original strat knob holes to look more like the original guitar or just the hole for the volume knob
