Hey all,

I've been hunting Craigslist for guitars to fix up and flip for a while now, and one gentleman is selling the following guitars. He would be willing to accept $2500 for all three:

Jackson USA PC-2: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/msg/d/san-francisco-jackson-usa-pc-2/7201178936.html

ESP Horizon: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/msg/d/san-francisco-esp-horizon-custom/7201179097.html

Ormsby SX GTR (Run 1): https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/msg/d/san-francisco-ormsby-multiscale-sx-gtr/7201180817.html

My questions:

Jackson:
- Is this actually a PC2? Everything I've read online says that PC2s have "Custom Shop" on the headstock, not Phil's signature.
- In its current condition, would that be a fair price? It's pretty clapped. I could plug the drill holes, but with the scalloping, I'm not sure how much value it should lose.
- Is the neck plate supposed to have that gap around it?

ESP:
- This is an older ESP, and I can't find much info on serial numbers. Is it made in the main factory, or would something like this be like a standard series ESP/E-II?
- Fair price?

Ormsby:
- Are there any known issues, given that this is a first production run?
- Fair price?

ormsby is a run 1, price is a bit high on its own (I've seen them go for around 800-900), but 2500 for the lot seems like a deal. Granted I'm not well versed in the nuances of the other brands.
Some of the run 1 had issues with pickups being microphonic and electronics. Probably not an issue in this case since it has a guutarmory pickup installed.

+1 on what @KnightBrolaire said re the Ormsby, the early runs had problems with inadequate wax potting on the humbuckers in particular, that example has had the humbucker swapped so you should be fine.. Can't comment on the others, don't know enough.

There's no screaming deal in there.
Even at ~800+ per guitar (your 2.5k offer), it's decent but not exceptional.

The Jackson is pretty, but modified quite a bit, the Horizon is typical for its era, it is a real ESP of the time and and it will play very well, but doesn't have any particularly unique features, and the Ornsby is OK, updated pickups is a plus but not a terrific price either.

If you love all three and deal local in cash, maybe saving the tax and hassle and shipping is worth it to you. Other than that, you could find better deals on other guitars if you're not set on those 3 in particular.

The ESP Horizon NT would be the equivalent of a Standard Series model. I have one in black, but with a Floyd.

Although you could find it for less, I personally think that’s a fair price.

The Horizon is an early\mid 90s one. If there are no dings or other issues the price is ok.
