Here is my situation. I am recording the dry signal from my bass into Reaper. The tone that is sent to my monitors through the pod x3 live while recording is huge, smooth, and overall awesome. However, when I reamp in pod farm using the exact same amp models, effects, and settings, it is totally flat, lame, and shitty. Why is this? I figure Pod Farm amp models are a little different than the ones on the pod itself, but should they be THAT different?

I realize I could just record the wet signal but I like the idea of reamping so I can tweak in real time, without re-recording everything.

What level are you recording the DIs at? If it's too low a dB level the signal is going to be poop. For DI's the dry signal should be somewhere between the -10 and -4 dB range.
