I recently tried out a KM-6 (awesome axe btw) but what threw me for a loop was the pickup switch which seemed to be wired in reverse...

When it was in the "down" position (pointed toward the output jack,) it was in fact, the neck PU.

In the "up" position pointing towards me/the body of the guitar it was the bridge. 99% of all guitars are usually wired the opposite.

Is this how these KM6's are wired standard?

Thanks for any info, good sirs.

That sounds just universally wrong :D
On the other hand, you could open the cavity and just flip the switch? ;-)

After I typed that, I read it back to myself

Yes, I opened up the cavity and all wiring was clean as a whistle. I thought about just flipping the switch or resoldering but was just curious if it came stock like this?

Eddie Van Halen prefers them that way. His wolfgang models are like that.

I like it the normal way. It makes more sense.

Just purchased it :yesway:

I loosened the nut holding the switch and just rotated it 180 degrees.

We're in business now :hbang:
