Done! I can pretty much guarantee l'll be the lightest tension in there. I play 9-72 at 27".

Sucks you can only win strings if you live in the U.S.

Otherwise, a set of 8 with similar gauges to the new Ernie Ball and GHS sets with an .080 for the low F# would be fantastic. I would switch back to Daddario in a heartbeat.

Right there with ya. 9-72 is what I am looking for, though right now I have a 10-74 set on which is great for drop D

As pretty much every one else stated, a larger 8TH string with ball end and some sort of balanced tension with a longer scale length.

Can you make a really easy way to do a custom set of string online, and not charge a shedload more for the privilege? Also, make it all available in the Uk too please

Personally, since I've owned 26,5",27" and 28", I think 27" is the most sensible for light low end use but for playing and tone purposes 28" is best imo

With that in mind, 28.5"-29.5" scales are increasingly popular (and tho I am not on board), so I suggest the 9-52/56 + a 74/80, kinda like your EXL light top heavy bottom for 7 string along with a choice for either a 74 or 80 bottom 8th string

Again imo 28" is by far the best scale if 8 is the main player so that if like for 28"-30" scale 9-52+74 (hell raiser c8 Fr, m8m, m80m, agile) and for 27" 9-52+80 (2228)

So basically make balanced sets , a 9-52+74 and 10-56+80, and offer it in your already nice regular sets or light top heavy bottom

imo going about by these 4 sets based on popular models scale lengths would be best because your 7 string sets are great (and initially all string companies did timings based on the obsolete 26.5" scale)

Please enter me for contest too

Contest ended on the 10th, but I went ahead and did the survey.

I agree with the above: singles that are more affordably priced would be awesome, if it's possible. Since we're talking about 8-string sets, that may not even be required in the future.

I *would*, however, love to see the NYXL's (I loves them!!) in a Balanced Tension set, and what would make me happy in my pants would be an 8-string set that was 110BT+54+74... but that's not actually balanced tension anymore, so...

Also, unrelated: NYXL BASS STRINGS!!!! :D
