Did you intend for that bass drop to clip when it hits?

Edit: is that even a bass drop? i just hear clipping, that's the main thing.

i think its kind of cool that it clips lol but if you want to avoid clipping with 808's then you need to turn it down in your mix. they dont need to be turned up very much. cool tho =)

Is Poulin a good alternative to Amplitube? I mean, on your end it sounds like a killer amp sim. Amplitube has been good to me, but there are some things that drive me crazy. Is there a decent noise gate with it?

I barely used the LeXtaC in this track, I added it over my already recorded guitar tracks (pod X3) but I have heard some people use only poulin's amp sim in some recordings and it sounds amazing, and also I've never been a fan of amplitube so ;P

but I don't think it comes with a noise gate (I used the one in my X3)

cheers

LINK

Go to that link and look at LIGHTWEIGHT DYNAMICS.

It's got the best gate that I've ever used. There is also a "Lightweight Gate," but it is buggy. Just set the comp ratio to 1:1 and you'll have a good gate. My settings are usually these:

Attack - 5ms
Release - 7.5ms
Thresh - -40dB
Ratio - 2.5:1
Soft Knee - 2dB
