I'm having a problem when I'm converting my double tracked guitars to mp3 tracks. Every time I try to do this, the mp3 comes out sounding like a single tracked guitar rather than a double tracked guitar with the tracks panned hard left and hard right. I make sure I select "both tracks" under consolidation settings. Am I doing something wrong?

It sounds like your rendering the mp3 file to mono possibly.
Screenshots would help.
What DAW or audio recorder are you using?

Ok click the part where it says "force output track".
I'd just leave the sample rate at 44100hz.
Then select "stereo". That should fix your problem.

It just makes a file of each track center panned. It doesn't combine them together.

I'm assuming you have the tracks panned correctly in Reaper? are you trying to consolidate specific tracks or render the mix?

Yes, I have the tracks panned correctly. One track is panned hard left and the other is panned hard right. What exactly do you mean "render the mix"? I'm trying to export both tracks together into one file with both of them still panned to their appropriate sides.

you could try soloing the tracks and then rendering/bouncing the project with just the soloed tracks, that's the easiest way I can think of off the top of my head; I'm sure there's a way to do it with just tracks, but I can't find it at the moment.

mute all tracks except the 2 panned guitar tracks. do a render and between the render and preset button choose master mix. sample rate 44100, channels stereo.
