i played the guitar last week only fretting the first fret of the high e string was producing a buzz (the muted kind). At four today it spread to the other 3 frets in the same string and then i played today at seven and the highest 4 strings were experiencing this problem at the first 3 frets.

I want t0 know ;

What is the problem?

How can i spot the problem?

How can i fix it myself?

And why such a dramatic change in the condition with 3 hours today?

This is my only seven, please help...Thanks

:wallbash:

Also if i need to adjust the truss rod what size allan wrench is needed?

Links would be appreciated 2

Wow that blows dude.

Are you in a high humidity area, where the guitar is exposed to weather conditions? Same thing happened to me when I left my guitar at my practice space. Weeks time and the neck was warped. B and E strings 13-17 frets produced dead notes.

Hopefully a crank on the truss rod will bring her back to life. If not I have no clue. Maybe a fret dressing? Anyone?

I'd adjust the truss rod about 1/8 of a turn, if that doesn't fix it do it again.
Taking it to a tech would be like taking your car to a mechanic to have air
put in the tires.
