some of the canucks (especially west coast) probably knew Bill, and a textbook tragedy and living with lions came long before spiritbox. I saw ATT open for Johnny Truant, and LWL was a big hit with me and a lot of friends.

(I’d change thread title to “RIP Bill Crook” :2c:)

Thanks for the info, I honestly didn't know anything about his past.

Can us mere mortals change thread titles or is that mods only?

While I didn’t get the chance to meet Bill , I developed a friendship with him through my fanboying over his basses and gear . We chatted about all different types of basses , specs , and he took time out of his day to chat talk about music being released , Star Wars , and more with me .

He loved reviewing pop , burgers , oddball corner store / fast food stuff , and he especially loved his 3 black cats ; we’d send pictures of ours to eachother on occasion . It seemed like he was a very grounded person that seemed to appreciate the smaller things in life . He was also a support worker that helped get people back on their feet in the community .

I’ll miss our quick chats . The last thing I sent him was a week or 2 ago telling him to try out some Biosteel ice pop flavour hydration drink .

That's awesome you had those conversations/interactions with him and that he was such a helpful person 😊
