Rusti Guitars: new neck build

My Rusti Guitars 6 string is getting a new neck. The neck profile will be copied from my BRJ and there are some spec changes too:

old specs -> new specs
1 piece rosewood neck -> 5 piece rosewood/ebony neck
mac ebony freboard -> ebony freboard
nickel frets -> stainless steel frets
sperzel tuner -> hipshot tuner


The build just started and i already got some pics:

yep, so it matches the body.

Did something happen to the old neck? I loved the way the ebony on the headstock went with the fretboard, but I see you're going the same way with this.

Nothing wrong with the old neck, but the neck shape was just not my cup of tea. I love that guitar, so didn't want any compromises and went with a rebuild.

when i orginally ordered the guitar it was a hard desicion between mac ebony and ebony. I opted now for ebony because it gives better contrast and ebony/koa is really classic combo....

totally agree! koa and black ebony are the best combo ... But the Macassar that Claudio used in the other neck was absolutely amazing

That looks fantastic. Are you using threaded inserts and bolts instead of regular neck screws?
