I was not happy with the way the laquer went on and have since sanded the white off. School is off the next two weeks so I will have plenty of time to finish the build

Really nice work! Do you recon this could be done with an 8mm maple cap or are the arches on the top too extreme up to the point that you would need a 1cm or so cap?

For a solid carved top, you really need a piece ".75 or 2cm thick, maybe thicker.

I’ve been having a lot of problems with dust and other particles getting in the finish (my house is under a tree). So I decided to make a paint booth, but instead of building a box out of wood, I decided to improvise.

I’m going to make a fake door, with vent fans.

Used the old grills as a template.

The S8 should be done in 2 or 3 weeks.
