When I saw this build was up for grabs on Facebook I had to jump on it especially since Christian Howes made me an offer I couldn't refuse:lol: Walnut wouldn't be my first choice in a body wood since I've no experience with it so I'm really eager to see how this build turns out.

Main Specs:

Body - Black Walnut
Top - Artist Grade Quilted Maple
Neck - 9 piece Rosewood/B.Limba Stringers/Maple veneers
Fretboard - Ebony + MOP Inlay design 12th Fret
Hardware - Hipshot Bridge, Gotoh SGS-510MG, Graphtech Nut
Pickups - Bareknuckle Black Hawks(Ceramic Bridge)

Cheers dudes! Its a pretty stunning top! It will be nice to have a quilt top thats not a veneer:lol: I can't wait to see how the inlays turn out too.

I'm not actually sure. I'll ask.

Should have been a purpleheart neck...

Can't wait to see how this goes and try it out.

I was tempted to get purpleheart but just told him what sound I was looking for and left it up to him. I'll bring it up to Sam's soon as I get it!

I emailed Sabre about whether or not he had more of that maple stashed away.

Also found neg rep with a frowny face for the comment above and figured it might have been Aaron pouting that I thought this looked better than his work...

Edit: I don't actually think it was Aaron.

Loving the depth to that quilt. A lot of maple has nice figuring but truly beautiful pieces have depth you can almost touch.

I'm SOOO glad you're getting this! I had originally snagged it, then due to a car bumper incident, and a KxK that I had also just snagged, I had to back out before I paid the deposit, and I felt terrible about doing it :( I'm eternally pleased that its going to a fellow SS.org'er. What a sick guitar, congrats! :yesway:
