Hi everyone,

I'm very happy to find this forum!

I have the decision between two 7-string Schecter guitars:
1.) Schecter Banshee Elite 7 FR S
2.) Schecter Hellraiser C-7 FR S BCH

I like the Banshee more, but it has an Pickup Bridge: Schecter USA Supercharger.
The Hellraiser has an Pickup Bridge: EMG 707 TW.
My "sorrow" is that the supercharger pickup hasn't enough "power".

Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Reynando, Germany
P.S. It's my first 7-string. I have two Ibanez Jem 6-String guitars.
My play stile is Steve Vai/Van Halen/ Rock/Progressive Rock/Progressive Metal

I'd go with the Banshee Elite. I have an 8 string one and it is one of my favorites! It also has stainless steel frets which are amazing. You can always swap out the bridge pickup if you don't like it. I have the Pegasus/sentient set in mine.

Banshee Elite hands down. Do it now.

I played the 8, the pickups were very clear and worked well for 8 strings, the specs are great and couple it all with the fact that the thing played itself, the Elite is where it's at.

You will like the Banshee better. The Banshee is much more comfortable to play that the Hellraiser, because of the arm cutaway. I have a KM-7 with the same body shape as the Hellraiser and it's pretty uncomfortable.

You can also get the Banshee in CEP finish, which is pretty sick.

And the Banshee is Neck-through, instead of set neck. Sustain for days.

You could probably get a used Hellraiser for cheap, and test if sevenstrings is something you like.

I've personally always enjoyed playing the hellraiser 7 strings. I have really big hands so they fell really nice to me.

I believe they have the same necks now, the old hellraisers had bigger ones.

afaik, the neck profile on all schecter 7 strings are the same. It's super thin, and super flat, and super comfortable. I love their necks. Very similar to Wizard necks, maybe a tad thicker.

I'd go Banshee if you are buying new. Used you can probably get 2 Hellraisers for the same price as the banshee

I would go Banshee. Besides looking better IMO, I just like how they feel and play more. Plus I'm not a fan of EMG's

Playing my hellraiser 7 for bout 10 years and my RG 7 string with wizard 2 neck for bout 11 or 12 maybe. I really just love them both and couldn't draw a line between wich neck style is more comfortable. I mean you just get used to wich ever. Hellraiser is a bit more beefy than the wizard. Can't really speak for the banshee but man, my hellraiser is fantastico, manifique:yesway::yesway::yesway:
