Get both. Or get the one that you saw/heard of first and then save up money and buy the other one when you have enough. :cool:

the only thing i wish they would bring out is a loomis with shiny laquer :D otherwise, great guitar! headstock of the LTD does not look that good, my opinion..

I would go with the Loomis.
Longer scale length is the only thing that's definitely better, the rest is just preference.
I prefer the look of it to the death-by-abalone stylings of the LTD, and also prefer the ash/maple combo. I find mahogany and rosewood a little dark in some guitars.

Longer scale is preference, some of us have small hands.

There is hardly any, if any abalone on the H-1007.

Wood makes hardly any audible difference
