SD2.0 Metal Avatar preset FOR YOU!!

So I know a lot of you people have Superior Drummer and don't have the Metal Foundry or only have the basic Avatar kit. Heres a little preset I've worked on for the past couple days. It's only using Avatar samples. Enjoy!!

The download will throw on a .txt make sure you edit the file format to ( My Avatar-2.s20 ) and it should work.

Download preset. Play around with it. Sometimes you got to do your own post processing. It's like giving away your biggest secrets if he had to tell you everythin he did.

Yeah, i know there are a lot of bottom feeders here. I wasn't specifically asking him the details of what he did. Just knowing if there could have been some compression or eq on a buss. Maybe some master compression, or something. Just wondering if there was even any post-processing done at all! It would just be a nice start to work of off.

did you even open the preset? Check the mixer in S2

I did check it. It obviously doesn't sound close to the sound he got. There has to be something outside of superior going on. Just wondering what he did. Thats all. Didn't think it was such a bad thing to ask

The tone sounds almost identical to bulbs. If that was your goal, good job! I love the preset too, it's so wet, slippery and badass.

of course it's not a bad thing to ask! sorry you got that impression, I just misunderstood your post.

Yes there is. Im just running a basic compression on the entire mix on ableton which bring it all together nicely. I believe its a 4:1 ratio with about 8 dB of gain reduction to be specific about my settings.

I will soon be obtaining a midi-uno for the axe fx and post the preset for you guys. I don't really care cause it's pretty much bulbs tone anyway.

Dont like the preset, way choppy, especially the snare! I did like the kick, I usually rewire the kick to a sample. I'd lower the attack on the compressor somewhat to make it less choppy and I'd balance the levels some more too, seems like the snare is much louder then the rest.

Heres the thing man. I didn't make this to ask for opinions on the mix. If you don't like it, change it. It's a free preset, and for someone who has little to no experience with SD2.0/mixing drums I think it's pretty decent.

I agree, Im not the best at mixing the snare. You could always change it though.
