I agree, the new Unearth album is shit. They haven't been good "Stings of Concience" They guy has a weak scream and there breakdowns can hardly be considered breakdowns.

Back on Topic, I would say Ion Dissonance "Solace" is the best 7-string album of the year.

I don't have most of the albums people are talking about... I'm really behind on my CDs, haven't got the new Strapping Young Lad, or loads of other things mentioned.

I have ordered the Scar Symmetry album today though, so maybe that'll be the one?

The New Black is awesome. You gotta get it man. I've had that thing spinning quite often since it's release.

Threat Signal are friggin awesome
Did you read that thing on them in Hammer. The fact they formed from having the vocalist and guitarists bored one day so they recorded a song on garageband. Put it online and were emailed a deal by Nuclear Blast. Thats so cool.

I've been a fan since their inception on Garageband. Great guys, so happy to see they made it big. Their guitarist is incredible, and he's only 21

EDIT: their whole CD is great by the way. seriously, not one bad song

All Shall Perish - the price of existance

those guys use exclusively sevens, are heavy as balls, and write damn good songs. They might be my favorite band now!

I can't believe all the unearth bashing going on. I think sound awesome and to their credit I dont think of them as copycat at all I think they have tried to break away from that scene and develop their own sound which I think they have. They get my vote. III eyes of fire :yesway: :yesway: up.
