Hey all, I recently wrote a piece for guitar while I was away on tour. I originally planned this to be a one-off thing with vocals over it but I'm considering writing more pieces like this as part of a set.

I had an old channel some of you might have seen, but I decided to change cause I didn't like the name, but moreso there's some videos on there I don't want to reflect upon my compositions and yet I don't need to take them down. I'll probably use it to upload any rubbish I got.

Anyways, this is on my new setup too. Not much different, just Agile Interceptor 830 into a Traynor K4 amp. No pedals or nothing, let me know what you think!

Thank ye kindly. The audio quality kind of sucks cause I still need to get a legit mic... and learn how to record audio/video at the same time.

Use some form of make shift clapper board and run a DAW to record the audio. You can use the clapper board to align the DAW audio with the video in a vid editor.

Really like the movements you incorporated in there...totally sounds like something I'd try to write if ever given an 8 string guitar, which I still have yet to ever play! Write more stuff man!

Thanks. I think the idea I had for writing this and other pieces was incorporating some ideas from classical composing, especially impressionist (like movements, certain forms, references, etc.) with more modal/jazzy tones I like.

Anyways, I've already started writing more so I probably upload videos of them too, and hopefully more professional sounding lol.

Thought that was absolutely beautiful man. Exactly the kind of music i love. I think you'd make an interesting post rock group if you added a drummer in.

This would be great background music to a porn video or something similar with famous jazz artists.

LOVE it : ) good work!

How are you liking the 30" scale length? I've been heavily considering getting either a 7 or 8 with such a scale, but I'm pretty concerned about how those thinner strings will sound. They already sound pretty strange to my ears on my 28.625".

Thanks. Kayo Dot is one of my favorite bands, funny you mention that.

I agree the tone isn't very good on the video, which is why i'm really striving to get a mic to record future videos. That being said, it is a keyboard amp and is designed to have a sterile tone. It's not for everyone but I like it.

I like the scale, it did take some getting used to obviously but I got it so I could play it as a bass with heavier gauge strings on the low end and still get good guitar tone. I like the rich tone of it in general, although I would be lying if I said it wasn't a fucking pain for extended chords, especially in the lower frets.

I think i've mentioned it before so I hate to plug but since someone brought it up, I have been working on an album and it is almost ready to release. I got Travis Orbin to record the drum parts so there should be some videos of that too. I will definitely post when that is up, thanks!
