Hello!

About 2 years ago i bought an ESP EC-1000 and have loved it ever since..

But the time has come for a change, and i have been seriously drooling over this guitar since i saw it in a post here on sevenstring..

The ESP Guitar Company | 2012 USA Website

Since i have no chance of trying it out, i thought i would ask you guys..

Any horizon owners who can convince me into buying this beauty?

If you're seeking a quality/sound upgrade then these aren't really much better than an EC-1000 from my experience. My EC-1000 blows alot of the ESPs I've played out of the water, a couple of which were from this series. However, they're definitely beautiful guitars. I've drooled over brown finished one for years.

I had a brown one for about a year, played incredibly, sounded huge, great craftsmanship and everything on it. I'd say get one, or why not just get an eclipse-II if you like the ec-1000 so much, I had one of them for awhile too and I liked it better than my horizon.

It's weird cause I usually don't even like that sort of thing  It just works so well on this model.

Im gonna go for the DBSB.. can't get my damn eyes of it

I found it on Thomann, but on the ESP site, the guitar has JB and a ‘59 pickup

And on Thomann it has SH-4 and a SH1N pickup...

Hmmmm.....

I think that's the same as JB and '59...
It could mean "Seymour-Humbucker-Model4" like how they call the JB a TB-4 in some cases.

Yep, that's the JB and the 59. All of the Seymour Duncan pickups have a name and a model number. The difference between the SH-4 and the TB-4 is that the TB-4 is what they call the "trembucker" version of the JB. It has a wider string spacing to accommodate Floyd Rose-style and similar bridges.

While that's definitely a fine guitar, if there's a similar guitar that you have and you're happy with it...if it ain't broke don't fix it? Why not just keep what you have and save for something else? Just curious...

Awesome dude! Stoked to see that NGD. You're probably going to want to buy some pickups to replace those along with the guitar though... IMO that is.
