Recently broke the high E on my V trying to set the intonation - but lo and behold, I had a set of Bareknuckle 10-46 strings!
Before I could put them on though... this thing hasn't been cleaned in... well, I bought it in '84, I knew nothing about taking care of guitars; it finally came out of the closet so a bandmate could play it, she said she never cleaned it (though it might have gotten a dusting when she had it set up); so, probably no real cleaning in 24 years??
In remarkably good shape (hurray hardshell cases!), needed fretboard attention, a good polishing, and had to take some WD40 and steel wool to the stopbar/bridge, but:
Felix inspects it's shininess!!
Must... have.. shiny... bouncy... MUST HAVE!!!
Now tuned to D standard... damn I love this guitar!!
