^ the trick to take pictures of high gloss surfaces is to use a polarizing filter, which allows to close some of the unwanted reflections, leaving a lot more depth and detail.
Also works wonders for sunsets, making green grass not look blueish, puffy white clouds, nuclear plumes look like real biohazard, peek-a-boo through windows, catching fish in water..

For digital cameras, make sure to get what is known as a "circular" filter (liniar filters were for old school film-based cameras).
The best is probably the Zeiss "Nach Käsemann" filter; maybe somewhat expensive.
Avoid the very low grade ones, as they can render colors inaccurate. An affordable Hoya filter might be ok.

Oh, and thanks for the bridge pics :yesway:

Haha, thanks for the advice! I'd take it but sadly it's my girlfriend's camera and she's reluctant towards buying new stuff for it. She only uses it for documenting her design projects, anyway. However, I'll let her know what you think :)

Oh, if she's doing physical designs, she can make good use of the polarizer for controlling depth and how gloss/reflective or transparent objects comes out.

In a van... DOWN' BY THE RIVER!
Looks really nice, I've had good experiences with polish guitars before (and Sweden is not far to ship to), so I might have to look into this:D

Sorry for a bump but I've added some adnotations to the video telling which pickup is being heard at a given moment.

I already miss that guitar...
