Anyone ever messed around with this?
Although I'm not a massive fan of the sound, I've been know to screw with it when I get bored. It is 5.08 in the morning, and I am REALLY bored...

Yeah, a little with my nylon acoustic. I've seen a lot of clinic players do it - all on steel acoustics.

I do it alot. Started slapping on my 5 string SX bass, eventually transitioned to guitar.

It's especially easy on 7+ strings because of the extra thick strings. Tis one of the reasons I want to get an 8-string. Imagine gorgeous clean guitar intros with integrated slapped basslines...
