I have no idea about how you name that part of the wood in english, maybe an other guitar maker in here could help us? :)

Question: What's the bolt in the treble side of the bridge for? Never seen anything like that before.

Its a cam screw which locks the saddles to the grooved baseplate

Its a Schaller bridge...

those tuning machines are sexy. shame they can only welcome a 0.060 gauge. i was hoping to use them on a 8 string....pants!!
