Random thoughts got me to remembering the recording rig I used for pirating radio songs. There's no speaker on the left, just the one thank you.

Hell yes. The last time I remember doing this was for "Would" by Alice In Chains. Waited all day for that sucker to come on the radio with an itchy trigger finger.

So much lingering around the radio, like an attack drone.
Did the same thing for VHS but it wasn't as frenetic for whatever reason. More record and chill.

Oh hell yeah. I know we all had some VHS tapes in SLP mode with like 6 hours of movies on cable TV, commercials and all.

i got several i think still kicking around my attic of like oooold DBZ episodes with the very first english voice cast, late night toonami stuff, and definitely a Beavis n Butthead Moron-A-Thon (which might be worth digging out cuz this will have the episodes complete with all the old 90's video commentary before license fee's or whatever lapsed)

Remember kids.... in the future all turds will be perfectly round

My slightly more technologically advanced story about AIC's Would is that I remember hearing it on the radio and really liking it, but having no idea what the song was called, only that it was by AIC. So I just went on a download spree on Kazaa and starting getting every AIC song I could find.

First one was Would.

Anyone else set their tape deck to record long play as the metal show was on too late for you, then the next day listen to the show and find the songs you want to then record those songs across to the second tape deck?
I was an eff'n king at mix tapes.
I had to be, as there was no music stores which would have the CDs I wanted, or the $45 to get them in wasn't worth the money to take a chance. This was the late 90s to early 00s.

Worst part was when they played (objectionably) no good songs, or had a special guest from some band you didn't like so they only played three songs no of that band.
Gahhhhhhh! It frustrated the hell out of me!

You damn kids and your youtubes and the spotifies don't know how easy you have it!

Don't worry, your old fart stories are coming. It's inevitable.
*15 yrs from now...

Me: finally bought an mp3 player...now I can download some music instead of risk damaging or losing my cds and Albums.

Kids: Soooo...your not using B.I.M.s for music?

Me: Whats that?

Kids: Brain Implanted Music...duh!
