The Showdown is awesome \m/

I'm listening to A Chorus of Obliteration and it rules, plus it has Bruce Fitzhugh doing some vocals on it, and we all know his voice rules.

Nile! Yey! :hbang:

BUT they're going to have to do a hell of a lot better than just one band for me to stand out in the fucking hot Arizona sun.

I don't see anything on the list that makes me want to jump through whatever hoops it takes to get a free ticket. I'll just do what I've been doing--catch the bands I'm interested in on their individual tours.

It'd be tempting to see nile if i hadn't gone to 3 of their shows already.

Exactly, on a band-by-band basis, festival tours suck. Shitty time slots, generally bad sound, dealing with outdoor weather, and short sets. Seems in todays post-major label atmosphere, regular tours have better matched bands so I end up seeing three or four bands I wanted to see anyway... like Darkane, Soilwork, SYL, Fear Factory tour.

Probably passed on Ozzfest since they won't be getting paid.

A brokeass GWAR. I don't know how they're playing in front of Nile.

um, who the hell is LORDI? How do they get to play in front of Nile?

Lordi are friggin' huge in some parts of Europe. They're a lot "bigger" than Nile if you only consider commercial success.

I'd rather pay to see a good show than go to a free shitty one.
