I can't believe no mentions of yngwie. You don't need to have the most technically advanced 19-string arpeggios over irregular time signatures to have amazing arpeggio sections....

Wield my sword
Leviathan
Bigfoot? Come on the two string arpeggio section before the solo is classic.
Too young to die too drunk to live.
Valhalla

There's so many to list.

Tony macalpine is awesome. Jason Becker is awesome. And even though yngwie is my favorite guitarist, he doesn't even come close to Shawn lane. Nobody does. Rusty Cooley is fast but he's a tool and can't write a nice melodic structured song IMO.

Perhaps my favourite of all - I spent such a long time working this solo out when I was about 15/16, only to end up having lessons with the dude who played it... he's pretty much the best guitarist I've ever seen. Solo starts at 3:15, sweeps start at 3:50:

You posted what you thought was an amazing sweeping section so I noticed it sounded like it has already been done before and i didnt want to keep it to myself. Dont get your panties in a twist

Wow. I think that guys guitar skill is being wasted in that band...

Not at all haha; I'd recommend checking out that album if you haven't heard it already. It's the only one he's on though, he's in Chelsea Grin now...
