If you guys love Sleep then you'd hate my room mate. Turns out the bastard saw them in concert (god knows why since he didn't know them, and how much he paid to see someone he doesnt know) but whenever I mention them he just goes, "Sleep SUCKS. All they did when I saw them in concert was play ONE song with a screen behind them playing some astronaut shit, then they closed with Dragonaut and the music video."

Fucking twat, Jerusalem/Dopesmoker rules as does Dragonaut so shut the fuck up

I heard that they are doing all of dopesmoker and all of holy mountain on this tour. not sure if that's just a rumor though.

I'm also seeing OM and Sleep in April. my spring is pure stoner win.

Man this is my favorite style of music! Alongside of Stoner Rock, you've got Doom and Sludge, which all draw from the same influences (pretty much Black Sabbath) but take it in different directions.

Bongripper (6-strings tuned to F)

YOB

Thou

And the amazing... MAJOR KONG!

My stoner doom collection just hit 140 albums and about half are from the past 5 years, so this stuff is still being made in force.

Some more obscure stuff:

Acid King

Bad Actor - now playing as Fire in the Cave

Deadbird (ex-Rwake guitarist and ex-Nachtmystium bassist)

Funeral Hag

I want to like Boris, but I just fucking CAN'T. It's painful and grating to my ears, and then I see people like "Hey check out Boris" to which I can only just say "yeah, they're cool" and act like I've enjoyed them BUT I KNOW THE TRUTH; its a lie, and one day theyre all gonna catch on and be like "Fuck off lying non-Boris fan"

...95% of that is true...

Boris have gone down the pan in a big way. Pre- heavy rocks stuff was great.

The first Sixty Watt Shaman album was an epic slab of riffery. Any kyuss/ fu etc fans would do well to check it out.
