I think that's also considering that it's custom vs production. I mean, the custom strandbergs for an 8 string start at 24500 SEK, which is around $3500. So quite a large difference there.

The only thing "production" about these is fixed specs, they're being built in the Washburn custom shop

Is that not production, then? What's custom about fixed specs? Just because it's being created on tooling that is located in a custom shop doesn't make it custom.

As soon as I get 1500$ this is pretty much what I'm getting next.

And just a question to everyone else, does that neck seem to pop less than the original or is it just the lighting? Seems paler than the original substantially, I'm debating between this and the straight up Boden 7.

looks like plain birdseye maple instead of flammed baked maple

if the Rosewood neck stays, Id say go with the CL7.

Digging the Pacman inlay

Naw but, these look amazing, I may very well plum for one of the Boden 8's, particularly if they can change finishes or stain or something.

So, the CL7s are getting a Cocobolo neck instead, according to facebook. Never heard of that before, but I want to try it. This guitar just keeps getting cooler.

Do you have a link? I can't find where it says that anywhere.
