Is that not production, then? What's custom about fixed specs? Just because it's being created on tooling that is located in a custom shop doesn't make it custom.

xen website quotes headless 8's for $2,549 +200 for an alternative neck profile (ipnp or endureneck). This is similar to US strandberg prices. Am I missing something?

Fair enough, I was more referring to build quality as people seem to have the "oh these are only production models so they should be cheap" attitude, but they are being built by a VERY good custom shop

And just a question to everyone else, does that neck seem to pop less than the original or is it just the lighting? Seems paler than the original substantially, I'm debating between this and the straight up Boden 7.

looks like plain birdseye maple instead of flammed baked maple

if the Rosewood neck stays, Id say go with the CL7.
