Suggest a multifx that doesnt need a tubescreamer to boost

I love my pedal board preamp set up which goes like this. Tuner-maxon st9+ (fancy tubescreamer)- decimator2 - tech21 GT2 - mxr10bandEQ - boss ps6 pitchshifter - digitech supernatural reverb - jamman stereo - ARTPRO tube mp preamp. All of this iso my pedalboard which then goes to mt artpro sla2 poweramp. I LOVE this rig. Except all the cords (as tidy as it is). So many places where something could go wrong. I wouldnt mind using a selfcontained multifx unit but i cant imagine not boosting with a tubescreamer of some sort and i just love the tone of the gt2 and supernatural pedals not to mention the nessessity of the decimator. Is there a multifx that can do all of this and get me close to the tone i love? Dont have a budget in mind but i know i wont spend much more than $500. Thanks

Honestly, if it works so well for you, I'd just stick with it - no sense in changing what works well. If cables going down worries you, perhaps try a setup with things in effects loops and a switcher - it doubles the cables, but it also makes it easier to trouble shoot. Do that, bring backups and you're set tbh

Most every multi-fx will have some kind of Tubescreamer, clone, or other OD/Distortion boxes already built in.
Plus, noise gates, eq's, reverb, delay, ect...

And yes, they work as good as the real deals.

I agree with the M9/M13 suggestion. Or get a used Boss GT100.

Keep spare cables on hand. That's what every major touring act using pedalboards does. The minor touring acts too

I'd go for Line6 stuff. Personally, I own an HD500X, hard to program but it sounds great once you get the feel of it.

After using Boss GT stuff for years, I realized that newer models are just the same COSM modeling since the 90's, but with more tweaks and effects. The sound from all GT models are the fu**ing same nasal s**t for decades. Unless you actually like it, go for another brand.

I'm not recommending the GT series for amp models. They're the LAST thing I'd recommend.

I mean for like effects and dirt boxes for boosts.

CapnForsaggio - lol im not really leaving though. i LOVE my set up. i was thinking about it more today and thought that if i had a decent multi that does everything i need then it could just be my back up. if one of my million cords crapped out then i could just quickly switch out my pedalboard for the multi.

well my problem isnt simply that i dont like using so many cords, i dont mind using all the cords since my pedalboard is very tidy, you can hardly even see all the cords, its that those cords present an opportunity for my signal to flutter or cut out completely sooner or later. nothing worse than being in the middle of a live set and your guitar cuts out and the only thing you can really do in your extremely limited ticking time is nudge your pedalboard repeatedly and hope it kicks back in.

having to figure out which of my 10 cords is acting up mid set or even song and then ripping apart my pedalboard and putting it all back together again just isnt something i want to do, id be ripping my hair out. was thinking if i had a backup multi unit then i could quickly switch the pedalboard out for it, easy!

yeah i actually had a boss gt8 which i just didnt like. too many buttons lol and didnt sound that great to me. thought about the boss ME80 or something since they are all knob based. i realize it would still sound a bit on the crappy side but as a back up i could deal with it i think. i like its simplicity. would like something simple that does what my pedalboard does.

i once owned a boss gt8 and kind of hated it. too many buttons and digital menus ugh, and too digital sounding. but im considering a boss ME80 or something just due to its knob based simplicity. as JUST a backup unit i could deal with it not sounding perfect. any other simple multi units that dont cost an arm and leg?

I really like the Boss GT-100. But mainly I record with Digitech GSP1101 for getting really cool sounds with it. The best in both worlds is to put the GSP1101 into GT-100's loop, use the preamps/IR of the GSP and the rest comes from GT-100.

+1 Pod HD500x. Once you learn the ins and outs you might find you like it better than what you have. It has an effects loop so you could even integrate it into what you have

i started a new thread to ask this (which no one has replied to ), i guess i should have just asked here. theres a good chance im trading my boss ls2 lineswitcher pedal for a POD XT Live. does anyone know if the XT Live can do direct out to a soundguy and simultaneously output to my poweramp/cab?

OP: Line 6 M9 might be your best bet for cheap. It's got all that, and then some. If you want amp models too then the HD500 for sure.
