I'm toying with two ideas for mine. First is to put a quilted maple veneer on it and stain it yellow with a trans greenburst edge and trans green back. The second is to paint it as close to EBMM Desert Gold as possible.

If you want obnoxious though, I'd say try a swirl. Purple, orange, nuclear green and black sould do it nicely. There's a tutorial here.

Do it in safety orange with two 2" retro-reflective white "GT" stripes down the middle (3M Scotchlite tape... the same stuff they use on road signs and safety gear)... that would look awesome. Nick name it "ROAD CONE".

Or do a finish like ESP used to do back in the '80s... multiple layers of different colours of paint, then gently sand through them at different depths to reveal organic "swirl" patterns.

Or do a "circus camo" look with fluorescent red, orange, yellow and white. :D

^ :barf:

But if you're gonna go that route, that actually sounds pretty cool.

I had a minibike as a kid I painted in bright gold and florescent, safety-like orange. Talk about fucking obnoxious!

Flat black, like your LP7 Goth was. You're metal, man, just embrace it. None more black. :metal:

Bah... it's never going to get refinished. Once he plays that RG7620 that I picked up for a stupidly low price(and is now all clean and set up properly), he's just going to beg me to trade it for the S7. :D

^ There may be some truth to that.
[action=Shannon]gives in to his gear whoredom abilities.[/action]

But for now, I still plan to refinish the S7....but NO BLACK! I'm sick to death of black!

actually that'd be pretty cool with some fretboard dye.

Here are some cool colours too:
