Not to hi-jack the thread, but I got started by contacting local bands. Most are eager to have you come out if you trade licensing for a photo pass. Then to bigger bands, once I had a decent local portfolio, I contacting the band's managers and promo companies. And yes, for trade in a photo pass, I worked for free. Now I charge. The Slaughter Tour however, is a free bee since I wanted to add Periphery and the others to my line up. Its a lot of leg work to start out, but it pays off IF you enjoy the work.

Soundworks have brought out Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse etc etc since. I wish they'd tag a few other brutal bands on there as well

Yeah I know man, some of my friends opened up the Melbourne show. Would have been amazing.
I got to see cannibal corpse on their last tour here which was brutal as ..... Was so stoked haha
